Four people hospitalized after crash involving tractor-trailer in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Four people are in the hospital after a Monday night crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer at a Chesterfield County intersection.

At about 10:17 p.m. on Monday, July 8, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department received a call about a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 10 and Kingston Avenue.

When they arrived, first responders found a crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer. According to police, four people were injured in the crash. Two people had to be extracted from the involved car.

All four injured people were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.

According to police, the involved tractor-trailer is considered a total loss and will need to be removed from the scene by a wrecker.

Drivers in the area around Route 10 and Kingston Avenue should expect delays for the next two or so hours as the scene is cleared.
