Holladay Elementary School Solar Panels

Henrico County Public Schools has partnered with Sun Tribe Solar to design and install a 219-kilowatt rooftop solar system consisting of 540 solar panels on the new addition to Holladay Elementary School. This system is projected to provide approximately 33% of the school’s electricity needs. Sun Tribe Solar installed and will maintain the system at no cost to the county, and sell the solar electricity back to HCPS at a reduced rate compared to grid electricity. Over the next 25 years, the project is estimated to save over $137,000 for Henrico taxpayers.
