Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears visits GreenCity: Entire Press Conference

On August 10, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears toured Henrico’s largest planned development – GreenCity. County leaders and GreenCity representatives shared details with her about the private, mixed-use community that will feature a $250-million arena, office and retail space, 2,400 housing units and two hotels. It will be designed as an “ecodistrict” and feature extensive parks, trails and open spaces. ?️??️?

The lieutenant governor also learned more about the county’s indoor sports and events center under construction at Virginia Center Commons which will complement Henrico’s sports tourism program that generated nearly $60 million in economic activity last year. ???

“This is a win-win for not just Henrico County, but I think for the entire Commonwealth,” said Earle-Sears. “This is an awesome facility and it’s going to be a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.”
