Should the US Government Rein in Business with China? | China Unscripted

China steals US intellectual property through espionage and forced joint ventures with Chinese companies. China can bring US companies to its heel by dangling or threatening to cut off access to the Chinese market. US companies in turn lobby the US government for policies favorable to Beijing to protect their bottom line. This represents a threat not only to the US, but the US-centered world order. In this episode of China Unscripted, we discuss what the US should do about this, including whether the government should rein in business with China. Joining us in this episode is Anders Corr, the publisher of the Journal of Political Risk and principal at Corr Analytics. He’s also the author of the new book The Concentration of Power: Institutionalization, Hierarchy, and Hegemony.
